Job summary

Mid-Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust is seeking a Specialist Cardiac Physiologist to join a busy Echo service delivering adult TTE, Stress Echo, Contrast and Bubble echo, and TOEs across four sites. The role emphasizes professional development, audits, and contributing to service improvement.

Experience with echocardiography and BSE accreditation is preferred, with opportunities for training and career growth within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Current RCCP/AHCS/equivalent registration
• Educated to degree level or equivalent
• Professional accreditation (e.g. BSE) or working towards it
• Relevant post-qualification experience with continuing professional development
• Willing to undergo training as necessary

Responsibilities

• Acts in accordance with the Professional Code of Conduct
• Maintains a safe working environment
• Works as a specialist practitioner within established Trust and departmental policies
• Act as a source of expertise within their designated area
• Undertake clinical procedures and investigations with high dexterity and accuracy and provide reports
• Assess patients prior to cardio-respiratory investigations to ensure suitability
• Supervise and assess the work of others within the team
• Work toward national guidelines and directives (e.g. NICE, NSF)
