Job summary

The Cardio-Respiratory Department at Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Highly Specialised Cardiac Physiologist- Echocardiographer to join our busy multidisciplinary team.

This role supports non-invasive services, including stress echo and TEE assistance, with a pathway toward BSE accreditation. A preceptorship will be provided on successful accreditation to enable independent practice across the department.

Qualifications

• Highly specialist diagnostic cardiac ultrasound, including echocardiography, stress echo and assisting Transoesophageal Echocardiography.
• Interpret complex results and produce a diagnostic report.
• Communicate complex information with patients, relatives or carers, explaining procedures while ensuring privacy and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Perform a range of echocardiography procedures, interpreting results and producing reports.
• Communicate complex information with patients, relatives or carers, explaining procedures.
• Ensure availability, cleanliness and maintenance of equipment.
• Manage stock levels and requisition supplies as needed.
