Job summary

United Infrastructure Ltd. is looking for a senior CAD professional to lead drawing production for T&D and power infrastructure projects in the UK. You will create and verify detailed CAD drawings, manage document control, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with multiple design teams.

The role supports hybrid working, offers a clear career path, technical training, and a company pension. Suitable for candidates with at least 8 years’ CAD experience in engineering and strong drawing

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead, manage and prepare work packages with minimal supervision.
• Strong CAD proficiency and ability to read and interpret drawings and calculations.
• Experience in formal document control and drawing standards compliance.
• Mentor junior technicians and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

Responsibilities

• Produce, check and approve engineering drawings to client and UIPTD standards.
• Manage drawing registers and document control using Oracle or Projectwise.
• Coordinate drawing issue, revisions and mark-ups with engineers and clients.
• Collaborate with design engineers, attend meetings and support programme planning.
• Provide QA checks and GIS data preparation for route mapping.
