Job summary

United Infrastructure seeks an experienced CAD Technician to join its UIPTD T&D engineering team. The successful candidate will produce and manage drawings for 33–400kV OHL and UGC schemes, working with design engineers to deliver client-standard outputs across the project lifecycle.

You will produce AutoCAD and MicroStation drawings, manage document control, and support GIS data tasks while ensuring compliance with client CAD standards and internal UIPTD guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years CAD experience in an engineering environment.
• Advanced AutoCAD; Civil3D and MicroStation desirable.
• Experience producing T&D drawings.
• Familiarity with reading engineering calculations and survey data.
• Experience working within a formal document control system.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drawings.
• Good communication within a multi-discipline design team.

Responsibilities

• Produce client and UIPTD standard drawings including route maps, profiles, and tower drawings.
• Manage drawing registers and document control in project systems.
• Collaborate with design engineers and attend design meetings.
• Provide QA checks on drawings and support GIS data tasks.
• Ensure compliance with SSE, SPEN, NGED and UIPTD standards.
