Job summary

NES Fircroft in Aberdeen is seeking two C#/.NET Desktop Software Engineers for a permanent, hybrid role (3 days on site, 2 days remote). You will design, develop, and maintain complex desktop and cloud applications, applying SOLID principles, automated testing, and CI/CD to deliver production-grade software.

Candidates should have 3–10 years of professional software engineering experience, strong C#/.NET skills, and a BS in CS/SE.

Qualifications

3–10 years of professional software engineering experience.
Strong proficiency in C#/.NET.
Experience building desktop and/or cloud-based applications.
Bachelor's degree in CS, SE, or related field.
Strong OO design, patterns, testing, version control & code review.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain complex desktop and cloud applications using modern software engineering practices, including design patterns, SOLID principles, automated testing, and CI/CD.
Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality.
Collaborate with Team Lead and Product Owner to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Communicate risks, progress, and technical challenges to stakeholders.
Continuously evaluate and adopt relevant technologies, frameworks, and AI-assisted tools.
