Urenco UK Ltd is seeking a Design Manager to lead multidisciplinary design teams across Capenhurst and Birchwood. You will oversee FEED activities, feasibility studies, BAT assessments, and the integration of best-practice engineering standards with safety and regulatory requirements.

The role requires strong leadership, project oversight, and the ability to coordinate with project managers, suppliers, and stakeholders to deliver complex plant designs on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Essential: Bachelor's Degree or PE accreditation in a relevant engineering field.
• Preferred: Master’s or PhD in Physics, Mathematics, Nuclear Science or related disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary design teams to deliver FEED activities, including feasibility studies, BAT assessments, Conceptual Design and Basic Design.
• Plan and coordinate design resources, budgets and delivery across multiple projects.
• Provide engineering support during project execution, including review/approval of detailed designs and FAT/SAT outcomes.
• Build relationships with project teams, suppliers and stakeholders to ensure safe, compliant designs.
