Job summary

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for a permanent, on-site procurement leadership role in our aerospace division. You will lead a team, drive strategic procurement activities and work cross-functionally to support production schedules, supplier relationships and business objectives.

The ideal candidate will have SAP experience, a proven record in cost optimisation and risk mitigation, and the ability to collaborate across functions.

• A valid driving licence and an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for a permanent, on-site procurement role offering a salary of 45,000- 55,000 per annum.

This role involves leading a team, driving strategic procurement activities and working cross-functionally to support production schedules, supplier relationships and business objectives within an aerospace environment.

Key Duties

• Lead a team to achieve departmental goals.


• Work with the SAP S/4HANA system, using the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system.


• Use continuous improvement tools to develop and introduce effective processes.


• Attend weekly site management meetings.


• Conduct regular one-to-one meetings with team members.


• Drive procurement strategies aligned with business objectives, focusing on cost optimisation, supplier reliability and risk mitigation.


• Expedite late orders at the earliest stage.


• Lead, mentor and coach a team of buyers to improve negotiation skills, supplier relationship management and compliance with company policies.


• Work with the Supplier Relationship Manager and Supplier Quality Engineer to establish and maintain strategic partnerships with key suppliers.


• Identify cost-saving opportunities, improve procurement efficiency and support long-term planning through data-driven decision-making.


• Collaborate with Operations, Demand Planning and Supply Chain teams to align procurement activities with production schedules, inventory targets and organisational goals.
