30 Hours (Monday – Thursday) Temporary for 3 years
We are looking to recruit a Senior Business Support Officer to support a specialist to fulfil their tasks and duties as a Senior Learning Mentor in the Attendance and Inclusion Team.
The Attendance and Inclusion team discharges the Local Authorities statutory legal responsibility for school attendance and ensuring Sheffield’s children are accessing and engaging with appropriate education, identifying and removing any barriers including preparing children for school.
Applicants must have experience of minuting complex meetings
Applicants must have experience of using databases
Applicants must have a thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook
The applicant will assist and instruct the specialist in relevant work processes
The successful applicant will be highly motivated, flexible and dedicated to providing a high level of administration support to the specialist.
This is an interesting opportunity for someone with excellent verbal and written communication skills who is able to liaise effectively with a wide range of people from parents to senior leaders and practitioners.
Induction and training will be provided. The post is hybrid working from the City Centre combined with home working and travelling to community schools to minute meetings.
This role will provide 1:1 support, through Access to Work, for an Inclusion and Attendance Specialist within the Access and Inclusion Service.
The role will involve supporting the individual to fulfil their tasks and duties in the following ways:
Arrange meetings, Attend meetings, prepare documents and take notes at team meetings
Assist and instruct immediate colleagues in relevant work processes
Enter data, checking for accuracy and logic and flagging up potential errors.
Conduct standard interrogation of systems/databases to answer queries.
