Job summary

A leading company specializing in Next-Generation Sequencing products seeks a Business Development Manager to drive sales in the UK market. The successful candidate will manage marketing activities, collaborate with departments, and provide customer service while leveraging new business opportunities. Ideal candidates will have experience in business development and relevant educational backgrounds in Life Sciences or Clinical Medicine.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience in business development or sales in molecular pathology or IVD products.
  • Good knowledge of the local molecular pathology market; international experience preferred.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in German is a plus.

Headquartered in Guangzhou, China, it has laboratories and offices in Guangzhou, Beijing, Shanghai, and California, USA, employing over 1,000 people worldwide. Its business spans over 30 provinces and autonomous regions in China, the United States, and Europe.

The ideal candidate will lead the business development activities, drive sales, and play a key role in generating new business. They will also manage marketing and customer service activities.

Responsibilities
  • Prospect and leverage potential new business opportunities within the UK market;
  • Develop business and regulatory plans for the UK and achieve operational objectives;
  • Identify opportunities from marketing leads and manage local business partners;
  • Report market information to headquarters promptly;
  • Collaborate with other departments to set up operational processes for the UK market;
  • Build brand awareness in the UK;
  • Provide excellent customer service with prompt solutions to inquiries.
Qualifications/Skills
  • At least 2 years of experience in business development or sales in molecular pathology or IVD products;
  • BSc or MSc in Life & Science, Molecular Pathology, or Clinical Medicine; MBA or PhD is a plus;
  • Good knowledge of the local molecular pathology market; international experience preferred;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills;
  • Strategic and creative thinking with attention to detail;
  • Motivated to find new business opportunities quickly;
  • Familiar with selling imported products in Europe;
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in German is a plus.
