Location: Manchester, 2-3 days in office + 2-3 remote (Monday - Friday), 5 days per week.

25 Days holiday + 8 Public holidays

Job Purpose:

The IoT / SaaS Business Development Manager at Invisible Systems will drive growth within key manufacturing sectors while maintaining flexibility to sell our core IoT / SaaS solutions across other industries.

This role involves identifying and securing new business, nurturing client relationships, and implementing growth strategies tailored to various sectors benefiting from our solutions. The manager will work closely with internal teams to ensure our offerings meet each sector's needs, from manufacturing to other industries.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Target new business opportunities across manufacturing, food & beverage, hospitality, pharma, government, education, retail, healthcare, facilities management, and other sectors through proactive outreach such as calls, emails, and social media.
  • Follow up promptly on marketing-generated MQLs/SQLs and self-generated leads.
  • Build and manage a pipeline in CRM, track progress, and ensure accurate forecasting.
  • Conduct needs assessments and collaborate with technical surveyors to understand client challenges and recommend tailored IoT solutions.
  • Deliver product demonstrations and manage negotiations to close deals.
  • Drive customer acquisitions to meet revenue targets, with opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
  • Work with internal teams to ensure a seamless client experience and that solutions meet customer needs.
  • Maintain high client satisfaction by fulfilling commitments and fostering long-term relationships.
  • Attend networking and trade events.
  • Engage clients effectively across diverse industries using strong communication skills.
  • Adapt approach depending on the target audience, from managers to C-suite executives.
  • Have expertise in IoT / LoRaWAN technologies and real-time monitoring.
  • Understanding of precision temperature, legionella, energy, and environmental condition monitoring is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to adapt strategies to sector-specific demands.
  • Proficiency in CRM and sales reporting tools.
  • Be highly motivated, flexible, results-driven, and capable of exceeding sales targets.
