(CW1126) Senior Business Development Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Business Development Manager to join our client, a Fintech company that provides a payment platform. The role is based in the UK but offers flexible/remote working and involves identifying prospective customers and partners across the UK and Europe, from startups to enterprise clients.

This role focuses on new business development, with an emphasis on profitability from self-generated relationships. The successful candidate will understand the company's core and value-added propositions and apply solutions to address customer challenges.

Proven sales success is desirable. We welcome applicants with experience engaging prospects in industries such as Digital Ecommerce, Travel, Hospitality, or Financial Services.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Proactively seek new merchants and introducers, promoting the benefits of the company's products and services.
  • Identify merchant and partner challenges and address them using appropriate products and services while maintaining profitable terms.
  • Negotiate commercial and contractual terms with support from Senior Managers.
  • Manage post-onboarding customer care until they are transitioned to a dedicated Account Manager.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with introducers by building trust and expanding their portfolio of merchants.
  • Represent the business at trade events as needed.
  • Meet with prospects in person to enhance relationship quality and trust.
Experience and Qualifications:
  • Experience in self-generated business development with customers or introducers.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for solving prospects' problems and understanding their challenges.
  • Assertive, determined, and goal-oriented individuals.
  • Team-oriented with a warm approach to collaboration.
