Job summary

Sword Group is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support and enhance a portfolio of corporate systems, acting as a key link between IT and the wider business. You will work with stakeholders to understand processes, identify improvements, and deliver technology solutions aligned with the technology roadmap.

You will provide 2nd line support, adhere to ITSM processes, manage vendor relationships, document systems and governance, and plan projects within scope, budget, and timescales

Qualifications

• Experience as a Business Analyst or similar with enterprise applications.
• Strong ability to translate business requirements into technology solutions.
• Experience engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience delivering projects, system implementations, and upgrades.
• Project Management qualification or equivalent practical experience.
• Degree-qualified or professionally accredited.

Responsibilities

• Provide 2nd line support for a portfolio of corporate systems and deliver system enhancements.
• Adhere to IT Service Management processes for incident, problem, and change management.
• Build relationships with stakeholders to understand operational and strategic requirements.
• Identify opportunities to create business value through technology solutions and process improvements.
• Analyse and document business processes, requirements, and data flows for improvement.
• Ensure systems are fully documented, including architecture, infrastructure, and procedures.
• Manage supplier and vendor relationships including licensing, budgeting, SLAs, and reviews.
• Provide guidance and training to end users on system usage and standards.
• Define, plan, and deliver projects within scope, budget, and timescales.
• Support governance activities and ensure IT policy compliance.
• Evaluate requests for new software ensuring alignment with business needs and architecture.
• Analyse and improve internal IT processes to strengthen governance.
