Are you an experienced Business Analyst, or already a Senior Business Analyst, ready to deliver high-impact change? Do you thrive in fast-paced environments, supporting complex projects, technical challenges, and people-focused transformation?

We’re looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join our Business Change team working alongside an established team of Business Analysts and Project Managers. In this exciting role you will play a pivotal role in driving innovation, undertaking detailed analysis, defining solutions, leading test activities and ensuring the value of change is realised.

Join us and play a key role in delivering business-critical projects that make a lasting difference to how we operate and serve our communities.

  • Requirements and Solution design – able to solve complex business problems through effective requirement elicitation, analysis, documentation and prioritisation which results in detailed and structured solutions, which achieve the project objectives and serve as a task list for development and delivery.
  • Stakeholder management – builds strong relationships across the organisation and project teams. Effectively influences decisions and negotiates priorities. You will become comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders, up to Director and Executive level.
  • Practise quality and improvement – provides effective mentoring and coaching across the Business Analyst team, and wider organisation to support change and transformation. Leads by example and supports embedding of best practice for activities such as analysis, benefit engineering, testing and delivery.
  • Problem solving – navigates large scale, high risk or ambiguous projects logically and structured, demonstrating strong critical thinking skills. Undertakes detailed analysis and impact assessments across systems, processes and people to provide clear recommendations and risks appropriate for audience.
  • Business and Technical understanding – has a deep understanding of the sector and business domain. Positively collaborating and communicating with operational and technical colleagues on matters such as processes, workflows, integrations, systems etc. Translating information between these parties, effectively, as required.
  • Project and Delivery influence – collaborates effectively with Project Managers and the wider project team across the full change lifecycle, for instance identifying and anticipating risks, and providing effective mitigation, defining the project scope, budgets and benefit cases. Ensuring operational readiness through the creation of standard operating procedures and supporting end‑user training.
  • Testing – delivers effective and timely test preparation, including resource identification and planning, across all stages of the test lifecycle such as SIT, UAT and live proving. Able to lead and co‑ordinate large test teams, ensuring defects are prioritised and effectively managed and providing status updates and reports to support stage‑gate activity i.e. go / no go checkpoints.
We're looking for someone who has:
  • A Business Analysis qualification or certification, such as BCS or IIBA etc.
  • Proven ability to mentor, coach and instantiate best practice across Business Analysts.
  • Strong problem‑solving and critical thinking skills, with significant experience of analysing complex business problems (and opportunities) and establishing process and technical solutions.
  • Extensive experience eliciting requirements through workshops, interviews and collaborative sessions and ensuring traceability is maintained throughout the full project lifecycle.
  • Experienced, with a proven record of benefit identification and engineering using tools and techniques such as FAB.
  • An advanced ability to translate business needs into clear solution designs across technology and operational process.
  • Ability to challenge assumptions and drive informed decision making throughout the project lifecycle, including work breakdown structures, work packages and general project structure.
  • Highly experienced in test planning, preparation and execution activities including production of test cases, requirement traceability, defect management and reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, with an ability to translate technical detail into clear, simple, user-friendly language appropriate for audience.
  • Significant experience in identifying, managing and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Knowledge and experience of using project methodologies, such as Agile and Waterfall and tailoring approach i.e. requirements vs user stories, features and epics.
  • Highly competent using Microsoft tools, such as Visio, Project, Excel and PowerPoint etc.
  • Experience working within the housing sector (desired)
What’s in it for you?

In return, you will receive a competitive salary, 27 days annual leave (plus Christmas shut down), a defined benefit pension scheme, health cash plan, a range of shopping and leisure discounts.
