Job summary

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to define and own requirements for our ecommerce platform, back-office systems, and mobile apps. You’ll collaborate with delivery teams and stakeholders in an agile environment to map processes, user journeys, and to-be solutions.

You will build domain knowledge across products and systems, document risks and dependencies, and coach junior analysts while shaping our BA community and best practices.

Qualifications

• Extensive BA experience in agile or scaled environments.
• Experience collaborating with development teams.
• Familiar with backlog management tools.
• Analytical, proactive, strong communication and stakeholder skills.
• Experience coaching and developing junior colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Own and refine requirements as testable user stories with acceptance criteria.

As our newSenior Business Analyst, you’ll have a major impact on helping us achieve our goal. You’ll be part of the team that defines and owns the requirements for our e-commerce platform, back-office systems, and mobile apps, enabling Jet2.com and Jet2holidays to stay ahead in the market.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Own and refine requirements by capturing them as clear, testable user stories and defining acceptance criteria aligned with industry best practices.
• Collaborate closely with delivery teams and business stakeholders to ensure shared understanding of scope and outcomes, using agile ceremonies such as ‘3-amigos’ and ‘Refinement’ sessions.
• Model business processes and solutions through workflows, user journey maps, and other visual artefacts to demonstrate as-is and to-be solutions.
• Build and maintain subject matter expertise by developing a deep understanding of our products, systems, and business processes, enabling you to provide informed guidance and support to teams.
• Understand and document any areas of risk, dependencies, or compliance impacts.
• Work hand in hand with across different internal departments to understand the needs of the business and document how our systems are used.
• Coach, mentor, and line manage Business Analysts, supporting their professional growth and day-to-day development.
• Take an active role in shaping the BA community, contributing to best practices, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support Lead BAs with complex analysis, providing expertise and insight to tackle challenging business problems and system interactions.

What You’ll Have

• You’ll have extensive experience working as a business analyst, ideally in an agile or scaled environment.
• You'll have experience working alongside a development team.
• You’ll have familiarity with an array of backlog management tools.
• You’ll be personable, proactive and inquisitive with an analytical mind, strong communication skills, and great stakeholder management skills.
• You’ll have experience in working in a fast-paced environment, managing competing workloads, and prioritising appropriately.
• You'll have experience in coaching, mentoring and developing more junior colleagues.
