Job summary

Arriva in Tees Valley is seeking a vehicle maintenance technician to service, repair and inspect buses to Arriva and DVSA standards, improving reliability and safety across the fleet. The role is 39 hours per week on a 5-on-7 shift pattern, paying £19.03 per hour with time-and-a-half for OT.

It’s a permanent, full-time contract with pension, 25 days holiday, overtime available, and the chance to learn PCV driving if you don’t already hold a licence.

Qualifications

• PSV or HGV maintenance knowledge.
• Knowledge of engineering procedures and Health & Safety legislation.
• Vehicle inspection for scheduled maintenance (Desirable).
• Electrical circuits and systems knowledge (Desirable).

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintenance and repairs to Arriva and DVSA standards
• Continuous improvement of vehicle reliability
• MOT preparation, planned preventative maintenance campaigns and quality checks
• Vehicle fault diagnosis and ensuring reliability and maintenance is kept to Arriva Standards (Higher than DVSA)

Level 3 NVQ/IRTEC Qualification (Or equivalent)

Full UK driving licence (6 points or less)
