Job summary

Arriva London is seeking a Skilled Engineer to maintain and repair a fleet of buses to the highest standards. You will diagnose faults, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure servicing meets Arriva and DVSA requirements. The role includes MOT preparation and contributing to reliability improvements.

The ideal candidate has PSV/HGV maintenance experience, holds a UK driving license, and is committed to quality and safety. Flexible shifts are available to fit your lifestyle.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in vehicle maintenance, or 5+ years hands-on experience.
• Full UK driving license with no more than 6 points is required.
• PCV license preferred or willing to obtain one.
• Ability to pass PCV pre-employment medical.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality, safe maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned and preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repairs on buses.
• Ensure servicing, inspections, and repairs meet Arriva and DVSA standards.
• Assist with MOT preparation and maintenance campaigns.
• Improve bus reliability through monitoring and repairs.
• Discuss and adapt flexible shift patterns with the team.
