Job summary

Arriva Rail London Ltd is seeking a PSV Chargehand at our Darlington Depot. The role covers servicing, maintenance and repairs to DVSA standards on Arriva vehicles, with a permanent, full-time contract and a 39-hour week.

You will contribute to the continuous improvement of reliability, assist with MOT preparation and planned maintenance campaigns, and may receive overtime at 1.5x. Requires Level 3 NVQ/IRTEC or equivalent, a UK driving licence (6 points or less), and PCV medical clearance.

Qualifications

• Level 3 NVQ/IRTEC qualification (or equivalent) required.
• Knowledge of PSV/HGV maintenance and safety legislation.
• Full UK driving licence (6 points or less) required.
• PCV pre-employment medical may be required.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintenance and repairs to Arriva and DVSA standards.
• MOT preparation and planned preventative maintenance.
• Improve vehicle reliability through continuous improvement.
• Diagnose vehicle faults to keep reliability up to standard.
