Job summary

Baily Garner LLP, Eltham, London, seeks a Senior Building Surveyor to lead project teams and deliver surveys for residential and non-residential projects with emphasis on fire safety and cladding remediation. The role offers hybrid working and progression to Programme Manager.

Ideal candidates hold MRICS and a Building Surveying degree, with experience in procurement routes such as JCT/NEC and strong client engagement skills. You will mentor colleagues and manage project budgets to stay on track.

Qualifications

• MRICS status or equivalent professional accreditation.
• Building Surveying degree (or related Project Management qualification).
• Experience with multiple procurement routes, e.g., JCT/NEC.
• Fire safety experience is essential.
• Knowledge of Building Regulations and principal designer duties is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage projects and project teams to ensure successful outcomes.
• Conduct measured surveys of existing buildings or sites with attention to detail.
• Perform site visits and thorough inspections with comprehensive reports.
• Prepare Employer's Requirements for Design and Build projects.
• Invite tenders, analyse bids and compile tender reports.
• Oversee full project life cycle from specifications to schedules of work including fire safety works.
