Job summary

Baily Garner LLP in Eltham, London, is seeking a Senior Building Surveyor with hybrid working arrangements. You will lead projects, undertake measured surveys, visit sites, and prepare Employer’s Requirements for Design & Build assignments, including fire safety works for HRBs and non-HRBs.

The ideal candidate will be MRICS, hold a Building Surveying degree (or equivalent), and bring experience across procurement routes (JCT/NEC) with strong client-facing skills.

Qualifications

• MRICS status and Chartered Building Surveyor expertise are essential
• Experience across procurement routes (JCT/NEC) and multiple client types is required
• Strong ability to lead projects, manage budgets, and mentor teams (Fire safety experience a plus)

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage projects and project teams to successful outcomes
• Conduct measured surveys of existing buildings or sites with attention to detail
• Visit sites, inspect, and deliver comprehensive inspection reports
• Prepare Employer’s Requirements for Design and Build proposals
• Invite tenders, analyse bids, and compile tender reports
• Manage full project life cycle from specifications to schedules of work
• Work on fire safety aspects including internal and external works
