Job summary

Currie & Brown in Manchester is seeking a Senior/Associate Building Surveyor to deliver broad professional and project-led building surveying instructions across public and private sectors. You’ll lead major commissions at Associate level, develop client relationships, mentor juniors, and contribute to business growth, with hybrid working options where possible.

Applicants should have a Building Surveying degree and MRICS status or be close to chartership, with a track record of quality reports

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll work across a broad mix of professional and project-led building surveying instructions, including:

• Contract administration
• Building surveys and technical due diligence
• Dilapidations
• Defect analysis and reporting
• Refurbishment and maintenance projects
• Design and specification work
• Condition surveys
• Planned maintenance programmes
• Project delivery from inception through to completion
• Client relationship management

At Associate level, you’ll also:

• Lead major commissions
• Develop client relationships
• Mentor and support junior surveyors
• Contribute to business growth initiativesHelp shape the future of the Manchester team

What We’re Looking For

We’re keen to speak with candidates who have:

• A degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline
• MRICS qualification, or are close to achieving chartership
• Experience delivering building surveying services across multiple sectors
• Strong technical and report-writing skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Commercial awareness and project delivery experience
• A collaborative and client-focused approach
• A desire to develop and progress your career
• Experience within healthcare, education, local authority, commercial or mixed-use projects would be advantageous.
