Job summary

SSEN Transmission, part of SSE plc, is recruiting a Senior Building Services (Mechanical) Project Engineer to support high-value projects across Scotland's electricity transmission network. You will lead mechanical design reviews and ensure delivery from development to handover.

Based from one of our Scottish locations, you will spend roughly 50% of your time in the office at Perth, Glasgow, Inverness or Aberdeen, with a competitive salary and broad benefits package including a car/allowance and

Qualifications

Significant experience in mechanical building services engineering for complex projects.
Knowledge of relevant standards and CDM regulations and their application.
Ability to assess technical challenges and recommend solutions.
Excellent communication and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills.
Degree in Building Services Engineering; Chartered status is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead development, review and approval of mechanical building services designs and scopes.
Provide technical assurance across project delivery, including commissioning and handover.
Identify improvements, manage risks and adopt best practices.
Mentor engineers and support capability development within the team.
Collaborate with consultants, contractors and internal stakeholders to meet project requirements.
