Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR requires a Senior Building Services Engineer to support HS2 across nine reinforced-concrete buildings, tunnels, and pumping stations in Birmingham. The role spans HV/LV power, ventilation, BMS/SCADA, fire, lighting, public health and lifts, with strong emphasis on design review and interface coordination.

You will coordinate multidisciplinary packages, review contractor submissions, manage interfaces between services and structures, support procurement and site installation,

Qualifications

• Considerable building-services or MEP engineering experience.
• Mechanical, electrical or multidisciplinary background.
• Experience reviewing designs and contractor submissions.
• Strong knowledge of interfaces between services, structures and architecture.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate multidisciplinary building-services packages.
• Review mechanical and electrical designs and contractor submissions.
• Manage interfaces between services, structures and architectural elements.
• Support procurement and technical approvals.
• Provide engineering input during site installation.
• Respond to technical queries and proposed design changes.
• Identify buildability and coordination risks.
• Monitor quality and compliance.
• Support testing, commissioning and integrated systems activities.
• Liaise with subcontractors, designers and client representatives.
• Assist with handover planning and completion documentation.
• Provide guidance to junior engineers and delivery teams.
