Job summary

Bimplus is recruiting a Senior Building Services Engineer to support delivery of HS2 route-wide assets across nine reinforced-concrete buildings, with HV/LV power, ventilation, smoke control, BMS/SCADA, lighting, fire systems and lifts.

You will coordinate multidisciplinary packages, review designs and submissions, manage interfaces with structures and architecture, support procurement, provide site input and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Considerable building-services or MEP engineering experience.
• Mechanical or electrical or multidisciplinary background.
• Experience supporting design and construction delivery.
• Knowledge of interfaces and service coordination.
• Ability to review technical drawings and submissions.
• Understanding testing, commissioning and QA.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate multidisciplinary building-services packages.
• Review mechanical and electrical designs and contractor submissions.
• Manage interfaces between services, structures and architectural elements.
• Support procurement and technical approvals.
• Provide engineering input during site installation.
• Respond to technical queries and proposed design changes.
• Identify buildability and coordination risks.
• Monitor quality and compliance.
• Support testing, commissioning and integrated systems activities.
• Liaise with subcontractors, designers and client representatives.
• Assist with handover planning and completion documentation.
• Provide guidance to junior engineers and delivery teams.
