Qualifications

  • Experience as a General Builder in healthcare settings or similar.
  • Knowledge of HTMs, HBNs, Building Regulations and healthcare estate standards.
  • Ability to diagnose faults and repair building fabric and related systems.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct planned and reactive maintenance on building fabric elements across the Trust estate.
  • Undertake internal and external building repairs, alterations and improvements, ensuring compliance with HTMs, HBNs, Building Regulations and healthcare estate standards.
  • Install, manufacture, assemble and repair a wide range of building and structural components using drawings and specifications.
  • Specialise in flooring systems and finishes, maintaining healthcare standards for floors, walls and ceilings.
  • Diagnose faults and resolve complex issues affecting building fabric and fixtures to minimise disruption to hospital services.
  • Maintain and repair complex window systems, including locking mechanisms and safety features for reliability.
  • Contribute to building condition surveys, inspections, technical assessments and reporting for future maintenance or capital works.
