Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is seeking a Fabric Technician to join our maintenance team. You will respond to reactive works, complete tasks on time, and liaise with client representatives on maintenance and repair activities.

Key duties include site surveys, preparing method statements and risk assessments for planned works, and repairs to floors, ceilings and basic plumbing. IOSH/NEBOSH qualifications and UK driving license are valued.

Qualifications

Fabric and carpentry experience required.
Experience in high profile environments preferred.
City & Guilds or NVQ in carpentry is required.
Current UK driving license is preferred.
PC literacy and basic software skills are required.
Good customer relationship skills are essential.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings/instructions.

Responsibilities

Respond to reactive works within the team.
Ensure maintenance tasks are completed within agreed timescales.
Liaise with clients regarding maintenance and repair tasks.
Undertake site surveys and produce Works Requests, Method Statements and Risk Assessments for planned works.
Repairs to floors and wall coverings.
Ceiling tile repairs and replacements.
Undertake other building and installation works as required.
Manage lighting, lamp changes, filters and basic plumbing.
Use PDA to complete works and communicate updates.
Complete reactive, PPM jobs and projects timely.
Undertake minor project works.
Ensure all works comply with Health and Safety regulations.
Undertake other reasonable tasks as directed by Technical Services Manager.
