Job summary

Ashmere Derbyshire is seeking a Senior BSL Care Assistant for the Deaf Household at Heanor Park Care Home. This is a full-time role (35 hours/week) with potential for part-time positions, located on Ilkeston Road in Heanor.

The role emphasizes BSL communication to support elderly Deaf residents and includes an attendance bonus. Applicants should be flexible across all shifts, have medication administration experience, and be willing to work toward NVQ3.

Qualifications

We are excited to be recruiting a Senior BSL Care Assistant to join our brand-new Deaf Household at Heanor Park Care Home. This is a full-time position, working 35 hours per week across five shifts.

We have an opportunity for people that can use BSL (British Sign Language) to support deaf members of our community. We want you to bring a passion for helping elderly deaf residents maintain an independent lifestyle. We are currently recruiting both full time and part time positions.

We'll pay you an attendance bonus just for turning up to work!

About The Role

The ideal candidate must be flexible in working all shifts.

It might not be that you have any paid experience providing care to others however you may have looked after and given care to a friend or family member. You will need to have experience of administrating medication and possess or be willing to work towards your NVQ3 qualification.
