Ashmere Derbyshire is recruiting a BSL Care Assistant for a brand-new Deaf Household at Heanor Park Care Home. The role focuses on supporting deaf residents to live independently and may involve administering medications.

Training, uniforms, and DBS checks are provided, with opportunities for development and progression. We welcome those with BSL skills and are offering both full-time and part-time contracts.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 is required.
• NVQ Level 3 or working towards is required.
• British Sign Language is required.

Responsibilities

• Support deaf residents to maintain an independent lifestyle.
• Administer medications as directed and pursue NVQ3 qualification.
• Be flexible to work across all shifts.
• Attend monthly new starter induction and participate in regular training.
