Job summary

Dundee City Council is seeking a Senior Engineer - Bridges and Structures in Dundee. The role is hybrid, based at home and Dundee House, full-time 37 hours per week.

You will provide civil and structural engineering consultancy to the Council and external bodies, delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget. Candidates should have IEng MICE or equivalent, strong project management and leadership abilities, and be able to manage budgets and staff while adhering to CDM/Risk

Qualifications

• IEng MICE or equivalent registration with professional body.
• Experience leading civil and structural engineering projects.
• Ability to manage budgets, staff, and CDM/Risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Provide civil and structural engineering consultancy to the Council, its service departments, and external agencies.
• Deliver projects safely on time, within budget, and to client requirements.
• Assist in managing and developing a team delivering civil/structural services and highway structures responsibilities.
• Undertake site visits and surveys, including working at height and near watercourses; adaptable to flexible hours.
