Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Associate Director to lead our Bridge Engineering portfolio across the UK. You’ll provide senior technical leadership, guide complex design, assessment and inspection projects, and help grow client relationships and our business.

You will mentor engineers, support recruitment and collaborate with Project Directors to ensure safe, high‑quality outcomes and strong commercial performance across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and chartered status with ICE/IStructE.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams on complex projects.
• Strong client relationship development and bid/proposal experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical leadership across bridge engineering projects.
• Lead delivery of complex design, assessment and inspection work.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and identify opportunities.
• Mentor engineers and develop capabilities within the team.
• Support recruitment and resource planning for the bridge team.
