Job summary

Stantec Inc. is seeking an experienced Associate Director to lead our bridge engineering team in the UK. The role combines senior technical leadership with project delivery, client relationship management and business development across a diverse infrastructure portfolio.

You will guide multidisciplinary teams, shape the technical direction from feasibility to construction, and mentor engineers to progress their careers within a growing UK structures group.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• Chartered status with ICE or IStructE preferred.
• Extensive bridge engineering experience across design, assessment and delivery.
• Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams and client relationship management.
• Experience identifying opportunities and contributing to bids and proposals.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical leadership across bridge projects and programmes.
• Lead delivery of complex bridge design, assessment and inspection projects.
• Provide direction from feasibility through detailed design and construction.
• Review technical work, calculations, drawings, specifications and reports.
• Act as senior technical advisor to clients and project teams.
• Develop client relationships and identify new work opportunities.
