Job summary

Stantec Inc. is seeking a motivated Bridge Engineer to contribute from concept through detailed design and construction on UK bridge and civil projects.

You will design, assess and analyse structures, working with highways, transportation and civil engineering teams to deliver practical, efficient and sustainable solutions for public and private clients. You will build experience across project environments, collaborate with engineers and specialists, and progress towards professional

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or related discipline.
• Relevant experience in bridge engineering, structural design or assessment.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly, both in writing and verbally.
• Experience working in a multidisciplinary project team.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking design and assessment of bridges and other civil structures.
• Producing and reviewing calculations, drawings, specifications and technical reports.
• Using design standards and engineering principles to develop robust solutions.
• Supporting inspections, assessments and investigations of existing structures.
• Contributing to feasibility, concept and detailed design work.
• Collaborating with engineers and technicians across multidisciplinary teams.
• Supporting project delivery to programmes, budgets and quality standards.
• Liaising with clients, contractors and project stakeholders as required.
• Supporting development of less experienced team members and progressing professional qualifications.
