Job summary

WSP Global Inc. in Cardiff is seeking a Principal/Associate Engineer to lead delivery of civil and bridge engineering projects across the region. You will manage design, inspection, and feasibility studies for highway structures, including bridges and retaining walls, while leading a team of six engineers.

You will work with clients and regional leaders to shape the Cardiff bridges capability, mentoring staff and driving technical excellence in a collaborative, high-performing team environment.

Qualifications

• Chartered Civil/Structural Engineer with proven experience in bridge design, maintenance and assessment.
• Experience managing bridges and structural engineering projects.
• Knowledge of DM RB and MCDHW in relation to structural schemes.
• Understanding and application of Eurocodes to bridge design.
• Experience with steel, reinforced and prestressed concrete bridge structures.

Responsibilities

• Design of bridges and other highway structures.
• Bridge strengthening and repair, inspections and assessments.
• General civil and structural engineering support for the wider WSP business.
• Feasibility studies and options appraisals.
• Preparation of documents, reports and health and safety risk assessments.
