Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Stockton is seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer to lead civil and structural design packages for highways and rail schemes. You will manage design packages and projects, coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, and ensure delivery within budgets and schedules, while upholding quality standards.

You will bring Chartered status or progress towards ICE/IStructE, along with extensive experience in design, maintenance and assessment of bridge structures and familiarity with UK standards.

Qualifications

• Must have a degree in Civil Engineering (BEng/MEng/MSc).
• Chartered status and ICE or IStructE membership (or working towards).
• Proven knowledge in design, maintenance and supervision of civils or structures projects.
• Experience with highway and rail bridge design and assessment.
• Strong ability to deliver across multidisciplinary teams and manage budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead management of design packages and entire projects.
• Deliver civil and structural design packages for highways and rail schemes.
• Support project resourcing and financial control to ensure profitable delivery.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across feasibility to detailed design.
• Develop and manage client relationships and ensure QA compliance.
