Job summary

A leading construction company in Northern Ireland is seeking a Senior Bookkeeper / Office Manager to manage financial records and provide support to the company Directors. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, along with substantial experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, proficiency in accounting software, and a strong set of analytical and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Job Title – Senior Bookkeeper / Office Manager

Job Location – North Belfast

Salary – £30K - £40K

The Company:

Our client who specialises in the Construction sector across Northern Ireland are currently on the lookout for a Senior Bookkeeper / Office Manager to join their team.

If you are motivated and eager to take your career to the next level with a rapidly growing construction team then this is role for you.

The ideal candidate will be reporting to the Company Directors on a daily basis and will be responsible for supporting monthly accounting processes.

The Role:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including invoices, purchasing orders, accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank statements.
  • Reconcile accounts and resolve any discrepancies or errors.
  • Process and record financial transactions, including journal entries and general ledger entries.
  • Prepare and analyse financial reports, such as income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements.
  • Monitor expenses and ensure adherence and budgetary guidelines.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements for audit and tax filings.
  • Provide guidance and support to the company Directors.
  • Stay updated on accounting principles and regulations and ensure compliance.
  • Develop and improve accounting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial inside and support decision making.

What you need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles.
  • In-Depth knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
