Job summary

Office Angels are recruiting an experienced Practice Bookkeeper to join a respected accountancy firm and manage a portfolio of high-net-worth clients, sole traders and professionals. You will take ownership of day-to-day bookkeeping, VAT returns and reconciliations with a focus on accuracy and service quality.

You should have 3–6 years in accountancy practice, be proficient with Xero (Sage or CCH a plus), and enjoy building long-term client relationships while working in a professional

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of accountancy practice experience.
• Experience handling bookkeeping for a varied client base.
• Solid VAT knowledge and reconciliations.
• Proficiency with Xero; Sage or CCH advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients.
• Processing invoices, payments, receipts and transactions.
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns accurately and on time.
• Reconciliation of accounts and error investigation.
• Maintaining records using cloud-based accounting software (Xero).
• Supporting accountants with year-end accounts.
• Building relationships with clients and acting as a point of contact.
• Delivering proactive and professional service.
