Job summary

Office Angels seeks an experienced Practice Bookkeeper to join a respected accountancy firm. You will manage day-to-day bookkeeping for a varied portfolio, including high-net-worth clients, sole traders and professional service clients, ensuring precise records and high-quality service.

With 3–6 years in accountancy practice, you will handle VAT returns, reconciliations and year-end support, using Xero (Sage/CCH okay as supplemental tools).

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' bookkeeping experience within an accountancy practice.
• Experience managing bookkeeping for high-net-worth and owner-run clients is preferred.
• Strong VAT knowledge and reconciliation skills.
• Proficient with Xero; Sage or CCH knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients.
• Process invoices, payments, and financial transactions.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns accurately and on time.
• Reconcile accounts and identify discrepancies.
• Maintain records using cloud-based accounting software, primarily Xero.
• Support accountants with year-end accounts preparation.
• Build relationships with clients and act as a trusted contact.
• Deliver proactive and professional service at all times.
