Job summary

Trial Balance, a well-established accountancy practice in Bournemouth, is seeking an experienced Client Bookkeeper to manage a portfolio of clients, handling ongoing bookkeeping and VAT requirements.

The role requires prior bookkeeping experience in an accountancy practice with proficiency in Xero and QuickBooks, and the ability to communicate confidently with clients to resolve VAT queries and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications

• Have previous experience in a bookkeeping role within an accountancy practice.
• Experience using Xero and QuickBooks is important, alongside a good understanding of bookkeeping processes and VAT.
• You'll be organised, accurate and confident communicating directly with clients.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining accurate bookkeeping records for a portfolio of clients
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns
• Keeping client accounts up-to-date and ensuring records are maintained accurately
• Liaising with clients regarding bookkeeping and VAT queries
• Working with clients across a range of industries and businesses
• Supporting the wider practice team with bookkeeping and accounting requirements as needed
