HID Global in Cardiff, UK, is seeking a Senior DevTest Engineer Biometrics to drive automated testing within the CI/CD pipeline. You will bridge DevOps and QA validation, leading the implementation of scalable test strategies for firmware and software testing.

The role focuses on building a CI/CD-enabled environment, publishing test plans, and delivering high-quality releases while mentoring peers and collaborating with stakeholders globally.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4 years of related industry experience.
• Experience with device testing, embedded firmware, or software testing.
• AWS and/or Azure; Terraform; Docker; CI/CD integration.
• Test-as-code: tests written as code; pipeline execution and release gating.
• NUnit test framework knowledge.
• Specific experience with biometric devices.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of automated firmware and software testing strategies.
• Establish a scalable CI/CD-enabled test environment to improve release quality.
• Create and maintain test plans and test cases from product specs.
• Define test cases to validate features and performance requirements.
• Design and implement testing solutions within defined parameters.
