Job summary

North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust in Peterborough is recruiting a Senior Biomedical Scientist to lead the Immunology team. You will work closely with the Immunology Laboratory Manager, Biomedical Scientists and Consultant Immunologists to deliver high-quality, safe immunology services and to support clinical excellence.

As an IBMS registered training facility, the role offers opportunities to deepen specialist knowledge while contributing to staff education and service development.

Qualifications

• HCPC registered with MSc; IBMS HSD or FIBMS (or equivalent) is desirable.
• Experience in a routine Immunology laboratory.
• Experience supervising staff and developing services.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Immunology laboratory and ensure patient safety.
• Contribute to staff development within a progressive department.
• Support service development and practical assessments as part of the interview process.
