Job summary

North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust in Peterborough is seeking a Senior Biomedical Scientist to lead our Immunology team. You will supervise the Immunology laboratory, work with the Laboratory Manager, and help deliver high-quality, safe patient care in a busy NHS setting.

The role requires HCPC registration with an MSc, IBMS HSD or FIBMS, and experience in a routine Immunology lab. You should be computer literate, familiar with UKAS standards, and prepared for a 24/7 rota and on-site

You’ll collaborate closely with our Immunology Laboratory Manager, Biomedical Scientists and Consultant Immunologists to deliver a high-quality, safe and efficient Immunology that prioritises patient care and customer satisfaction.

You will be responsible for supervising the Immunology laboratory and assist in the development of staff within a progressive department where participation in developing our service is actively encouraged.

You should be HCPC registered with an appropriate MSc, IBMS HSD and/or be FIBMS (or equivalent) and well versed in the workings of a routine Immunology laboratory. You will also need to be enthusiastic and highly motivated, computer literate and familiar with working to UKAS standards.

The successful candidate may need to participate in the 24/7 rota for the Clinical Biochemistry Laboratory. Full training programme would be completed if required.
