Job Summary

The friendly team at Warrington Cellular Pathology department is seeking an experienced HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist to join us as a Senior Biomedical Scientist.

This role involves leading a section within the laboratory and acting as the departmental Training Officer. The post includes day-to-day supervision of Biomedical Scientists and Support workers, with an expectation to uphold high standards of quality.

Main Duties
  • Lead the routine and special stains section of the laboratory, including digital pathology.
  • Act as the departmental Training Officer, supporting staff with IBMS portfolios.
  • Ensure compliance with standard operational procedures, Health & Safety policies, departmental and organisational guidelines, and good laboratory practices, including UKAS standards and other regulatory bodies such as H.T.A.
