Job summary

Cygnet Health Care is seeking a Senior Billing professional to lead two billing administrators and support the Deputy Billing Manager across a portfolio of sites. The role involves updating daybooks from ward census data, invoicing, and resolving billing queries with site staff. A DBS check is required before appointment.

The position is hybrid, with two office days and three days at home, and offers scope to improve processes and provide guidance to junior colleagues within a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in a billing, finance administration or accounts receivable environment.
• Experience leading, mentoring or managing team members.
• Experience resolving billing queries.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and support two billing administrators, including one-to-one meetings and workload reviews.
• Update sales daybooks daily using ward census information.
• Manage a share of the billing process across multiple sites, invoicing accurately and on time.
• Liaise with sites by phone and email to obtain accurate billing information.
• Escalate billing and site-related issues through the proper channels.
• Assist with credit notes: review, analyse and process requests.
• Support resolution of billing queries.
• Process monthly and weekly reports (e.g., blocked beds, discounts, uplifts).
• Provide training and onboarding support to new team members.
• Assist Deputy Billing Manager with ad hoc tasks and projects.
