Job summary

Care UK is seeking a Senior Billing Controller to lead and optimize our billing operations across the organisation, driving accuracy and efficiency in invoicing and credit control. You will work closely with Management and Finance teams to ensure robust controls and timely reporting.

The ideal candidate has extensive billing and sales ledger experience, strong data management skills, proficiency in MS Office, and hands-on knowledge of CareSys and Agresso Financials.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience of billing and sales ledger.
• Excellent data management skills.
• Competent MS Office user.
• In-depth working knowledge of the Billing platform in CareSys.
• Experience of Agresso Financials.

Responsibilities

• Daily support to colleagues in the team to ensure that operational processes and procedures are being followed
• Act as initial point of escalation for all billing related queries for both the wider Finance Teams and Home Teams
• Responsible for the timely and accurate processing of all invoicing and credit notes with a strong understanding of the billing nuances across all regions
• Support a streamlined one way of working for the Billing Team, facilitating best knowledge practice throughout the function across all finance systems ensuring SOX compliance
• Support the Billing Team Leader and Assistant Billing Manager with driving unbilled income down by working closely with the Billing Controllers
• Ensure that new billing data is accurately integrated into the billing systems
• Responsible for validating and approving invoices and credit notes raised by the team in line with the Authority Matrix
• Assist (as required) in the recruitment and induction of staff, train and support new and existing staff to facilitate and promote best practice
• Support in the provision and delivery of training programmes for Home Managers and Home Administrators
• Support the Billing Controllers with complex billing adjustments and queries as required

The role:
