Job summary

Places for People is seeking a Senior Bid Manager to lead end-to-end tender processes for PfP Students and drive growth. You will coordinate with the Head of Business Development, manage multiple bids, and ensure submissions meet client requirements and branding standards.

You’ll guide bid reviews, maintain a robust tender pipeline, and share market insights to shape future strategies. A national role may require client-site meetings and collaboration across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating at Bid Manager level within competitive tendering.
• Strong knowledge of public sector procurement processes and local government portals.
• Experience managing multiple bids and tender opportunities.
• Experience building relationships across a large organisation and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Experience in Property/Student Accommodation is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end tender and bid processes for PfP Students with cross-functional collaboration.
• Manage multiple bids simultaneously and identify new opportunities via procurement portals.
• Lead bid reviews and debriefs, monitor performance, and maintain the tender pipeline.
• Shape future bidding strategies through market insight and continuous improvement.
• Provide leadership to temporary bid writers during high activity periods.
