A leading professional services firm (Legal) is looking for a Senior BD Executive to join its close-knit Marketing & BD team in Birmingham. You will shape market plans and drive pitches, events, and award submissions with real autonomy.

The role involves leading BD plans, managing budgets, running meetings, and coordinating events, thought leadership, and cross-selling, with coaching duties for junior team members. You’ll collaborate with Partners and fee-earners to move the needle.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years’ Marketing/BD experience at Executive level within professional services (law firm background ideal).
• Experience managing BD plans, budgets, and senior stakeholders.
• Strong track record in BD, events, and project management.
• Sharp attention to detail and strong time management.
• Proactive, flexible, team-oriented and a great communicator.

Responsibilities

• Leading BD plans and budgets for a group of departments.
• Running BD meetings, spotting opportunities and hot topics.
• Managing events, conferences, and thought leadership campaigns.
• Supporting directory/award submissions and credentials.
• Tracking new business opportunities and targets.
• Conducting client, competitor, and market research.
• Facilitating cross-selling across the group.
