Job summary

CreateFuture in the UK is seeking a Senior Backend Java Engineer to shape scalable backend systems. You will design, implement and own middleware using Java 8+ and Spring, while guiding teammates, setting technical direction and delivering high-value client solutions.

You will work across AWS, microservices and secure APIs, with emphasis on automation, testing and performance. Flexible hybrid/remote options supported; office hubs include London and other UK cities.

Qualifications

• Experience with modern Java and Spring Boot in cloud environments.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, microservices and security.
• Hands-on with AWS, Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases with performance focus.
• Familiarity with observability, testing and JVM performance.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable backend systems in Java/Spring.
