Job summary

Wise in London is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer for the Recommend team to help evolve and scale the new referral and rewards platform. You will design and implement robust APIs and services across global customers, focusing on reliability, performance, and security.

You will collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to deliver end-to-end experiences from onboarding to rewards, and own the quality of the code through testing and code reviews, in a fast-paced, inclusive

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend development with Java or Kotlin.
• Strong Spring framework and relational DB experience.
• Experience with distributed systems (Kafka).
• Collaborates with product, data scientists, data analysts and engineers daily.
• Writes testable code with unit and integration tests.
