Job summary

Referment is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for the post-trade and reporting team. You will build backend services used by operations and fund accounting, combining backend engineering with deep business process knowledge.

There is direct interaction with users and stakeholders, no intermediary layer, and you will influence the platform's technical direction as distributed, event-driven systems evolve. You will own design reviews and ensure maintainable, observable production systems.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of professional software development, including distributed or microservices-based systems.
• Strong backend engineering fundamentals; C#/.NET preferred; other modern tech also valuable.
• A STEM degree and disciplined approach to testing, documentation, and version control.

Responsibilities

• Define problems with operations and senior stakeholders and design practical software solutions.
• Lead changes through architecture, data modelling, implementation, testing and release.
• Build backend services with reliable failure handling, monitoring and alerting in production.
• Improve shared components and delivery tooling, including CI/CD and IaC.
