Job summary

Ebury London is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help transform our core transactional platform. You will own the development, scalability, and optimization of multi-currency account systems, incoming funds, and payment processes as part of a global team across Europe and the Americas.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, building, and maintaining large-scale, highly available systems.
• Hands-on payments/fintech/banking domain experience.
• Proficiency in at least one major backend language and distributed architectures.
• Strong English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Architect & Deliver: Lead the design and development of the next iteration of our global platform, streamlining cross-border payments and international fund collections.
• Domain Ownership: Take full accountability for the services you build—from design to deployment and production health.
• Technical Leadership: Drive product initiatives end-to-end with stakeholders to translate complex financial requirements into robust tech solutions.
• Mentor & Coach: Guide junior engineers, promote high engineering standards, and thorough code reviews.
• Collaborate Globally: Partner with leaders and distributed teams to design modular services and components.
