Aviy is seeking a senior backend engineer to own payments infrastructure in London. You will design and deliver payment integrations across providers, and own the systems that prove every transaction is accounted for.

With 8+ years in backend engineering and a strong payments background, you will champion idempotency, retries, and clear discrepancy communication with finance. This role combines autonomy with leadership in a hybrid, London-based team.

Qualifikationen

• Eight or more years in backend engineering, several of them on payments.
• Strong ability to reason about idempotency, retries and discrepancies with finance.

Aufgaben

• Lead the design and delivery of our payment integrations across providers.
• Build processing that behaves correctly under retries, duplicates and partial failure.
• Build the reconciliation tooling that shows our numbers and the provider’s agree.
• Lead the design for multi-currency settlement and payout scheduling.
• Set the standard for how money-handling code is written, reviewed and tested.
